TURNBERRY BEACH

Turnberry Beach access is a short walk from the premises. Cross Maidens road and turn left. Walk along the pavement which runs alongside the golf course. Just past the golf course, you will see a the gate that leads to the beach pathway. Enjoy scenic views of Ailsa Craig & the Isle of Arran, walk to the Turnberry Lighthouse, or enjoy a picnic on the beach.

A day of fun for the whole family. Indoor/Outdoor play park, farm & exotic animals, steam train, rides, cafe, and more.

GALLOWAY FOREST PARK

With over 300 sq. miles of valleys, forest, lochs, and ancient woodland to explore, Britain's largest forest park is a delightful adventure. It has also been awarded one of four Dark Sky Parks in the western world and definitely worth a visit once the sun has set. 30 min drive.

DUMFRIES HOUSE

Part of the Princes Foundation, this 2000 acre estate is well worth the 40 min drive. Explore walking trails , an expansive walled garden, a magical children’s adventure park, a farm, and cafe. The house itself has an unrivaled collection of Chippendale furniture.

ROBERT BURNS:

As the birthplace of "Rabbie" Burns, Ayrshire is known as "Burns Country". Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Burns Cottage, & the Brig o Doon (the bridge from the famous poem Tam o Shanter). For some lovely Scottish fare, be sure to eat at The Brig o' Doon Restaurant 25 min drive to Alloway.

WALKS/TRAILS:

Ayrshire Coastal Path - Runs 100 miles along the Ayrshire coast, through the main towns of Ayr, Troon and Largs.

Smugglers Trail - Leads from South Beach, Troon, along the Wrack Road across Royal Troon Golf Club, past Crosbie Kirk and through Fullarton Woods
